The Division of Nursing and Midwifery of La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia, in cooperation with the Nurses Learning Hub Pte Ltd (NLH), a subsidiary of Singapore Nurses Association (SNA), has delivered the highly successful Bachelor of Nursing (Post-Registration) course for nurses in Singapore for the past 13years.
Now, with its international recognition for quality educational programs and high academic standards, La Trobe University is pleased to offer the Master of Nursing degree in Singapore.

Course Structure
The Masters program is a 180 credit point program with exit options available at the Postgraduate Diploma level (120 credit points of study).
Students can choose from the Professional pathway (Independent Study Unit and Clinical Project) or Research Methods pathway (Nursing Thesis option). Within both of these pathways, students may choose to focus on either Nursing & Clinical Education or Leadership & Management within the Health Care Environment.

Entry Requirements
**For Registered Nurses (RNs) Only**
- Applicant must hold a nursing certificate or diploma from a recognised school of nursing (NYP and NP)
- Currently employed in an approved health care institution
- Current nursing registration
- Provide evidence of post-registration nursing experience

- GCE 'O' Level (for Singaporeans)
- High School Certificate/equivalent AND RELC English Proficiency Certificate
- Nanyang Polytechnic Diploma AND/OR Advance Diploma Certificate & Transcript
- Singapore Nursing Board Registration Certificate
- Singapore Nursing Board Practising Licence
- 1 Passport size photograph
- Registration fee (cash or cheque / money order only)
English Proficiency requirements
- IELTS BAND of 6.0 with individual bandS of at least 6.0; OR
- at least a score of 550 with a score of 5 or better in the Test of Written English (paper-based); OR
- 213 with a score of 5 in Essay Writing (computer-based); OR
- 80 with no individual score less than 20 (internet-based) in the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
Duration
Part-time over an approximately 26 months
Commencement Date
September 2010
Program Fees
Payment is due six weeks before the commencement of each semester (including GST). The fee covers course notes, readings, handouts, assessment briefings, students fees and assessment fees.

Delivery Mode
This program will be provided in a flexible delivery mode supported by 112 hours of face-to-face contact and workshops conducted by La Trobe University academic staff and key industry leaders. Students will receive additional support from their individual academic supervisors during the Independent Study Unit/ClinicalProject and Nursing Thesis subjects.
Degree Awarded
This course is equivalent to the Master of Nursing degree conducted by La Trobe University in Australia and students who complete the course will receive the same award. Upon successful completion of a minor thesis, students may be eligible for admission into a higher degree research program such as Doctor of Nursing or Doctor of Philosophy.
